Chapter 9: Swallows of Kabul

In this chapter Quassim Abdul Jabbar is coming home from his mother's funeral. He wishes that he could've got to know her better, but she was deaf and mute, so that was probably a hard task. Quassim bought his driver a meal and he saw Atiq who was trying to get away unnoticed. Quassim basically told Atiq that he's been acting really weird lately and he needs to snap out of it. He hears was Quassim has to say, but he doesn't really listen to it.

Atiq is so rude and disrespectful to his wife Mussarrat. She has a horrible disease, and he was dissappointed that she was still alive when he got home. Talk about a jerk.
