Chapter 7: Swallows of Kabul
It's always difficult to read about starving children because they are stranded with no one to help or give them guidance. This book is just overall depressing; no one is happy because the taliban has completely taken over and is forcing people to be a certain away, they have no freedom. It's ironic that Atiq and Mohsen keep meeting at random places, like the street. But it shows you how different they are. Mohsen finds humor in getting bumped into him and Zunaira. I think she's a really good influence on him, she's his support system that keeps him happy and together. And then once again the taliban steps in and ruins their fun. It's ridiculous.

This post is a little bit longer than others, which is encouraging.
It may be depressing, but sometimes history can't always be like the movies where people walk off into the sun set with a happy ending. The Taliban were vultures to this country, and thank goodness America invaded in 2001 to drive them out!!

I agree. They are both different men, but I like how the author continues to make these two divergent story lines intertwine.
You leave out some major details with your posts! Explain what you thought about when the Taliban police come??? The Mullah's speech? Zunaira's suffering?
At times your posts are just not giving enough details about the story.
